Losing track of time...

Image
I think that we are in Day 3 since we sailed out of Langkowi. This kind of sailing where money is not our primary objective, is so TIMELESS. None of us are wearing our watches and whenever I ask what the date or the time is, a variety of dates and times echo back to me. Heading to the waves:))) Todays sail has been in flat but choppy ocean. Not a little tweak on the lines UNTIL half an hour ago when Travis saw movement in the water and Caden truimphantly reeled in a beautiful yellowfin tuna:) he was so proud and made me photograph it from all angles. He just loves sushi and we have been so lucky to have a tuna sushi snack each day on this journey so far, since we left Langkowi. The power of positive thinking- Caden had asked Brent if we could have sushi today and Brent had said yes if we caught a tuna! Now I sit jotting this all down while keeping a beady eye on all the lines! I even pulled one in just now after convincing myself that there may be something on th...

the deep deep Blue...

Sunset smiles... Our highlights of yesterday  was for most of us, dragging behind Micah in the middle of the deep deep blue ocean:) The colour of the sea was an indescribable deep blue. I was too nervous (typical) to drag because if I let the rope go, it would take at least 15 minutes before they could bring Micah back around to pick me up and my theory Big Ocean-Big Sharks:)! Brent kindly stopped the boat for half an hour, so the children could cool down and also so that he could dive under the boat to check the annoids. Caden and I slipped into the inviting arms of the cool blue ocean... All the impatience and pending negativity, were instantly broken as we all laughed and relaxed... Cally"s Cooling off Smile:) I put goggles  on and looked under water... soooo deep, neverendingly deep with daggers of sharp light piercing into the depths of "nothingness and everythingness".... As the sun went down last night, we spotted a "fad" and we t...

Filled with wild abandonment...

waves at sunset -Telos-Indonesia The ocean was not nearly as glassy today as yesterday and the sun beat down on us. I fell asleep on the front of the boat in the narrow strip of shade from the mast, but the motion of the boat made me  have some delirious nightmares. By nightfall, the chop had increased as the currents whipped around us. We all slept in the saloon (except for Brent who has no problem sleeping in his bed which is right on the nose of the boat and has the most motion.) In the saloon, the leather couches are very comfortable as one feels the slamming of the swells under us-the least. I was nervous as I anticipated the worst! I imagined huge swells picking up to mountainous waves throwing our nose up to the evening star and then sharply down into the dark trough. Thank Goodness for Sleep:) Louie cooked us up a delicious dinner- bacon stirfry and rice.  Poor Caden-he felt wobbly and could not eat a morsel. Vince remembered that I had cooked some sag...
