We are all taking turns tonight to do nightshift duty. I get the early morning shift (YAY!) Normally I use this time to clean, prepare the table for breakfast and make a tinpot of tea for those fortunate ones who wake up on time!
Brent has set up one alarm on the right sugarscoop to alert the nightwatcher to an intruder!
Good morning:)) Thanks to Brent- I got to enjoy an early morning -peace and tranquility before the rest of the boat wakes up. It is very difficult to wake up on a boat because you sleep SO deeply that you just want to carry on sleeping! Which is what i would love to have done ...but i was very appreciative that he did wake me up and let me stumble out onto the deck all bleary eyed to watch the sunrise:)
It was quite exquisite. To the one side, the palm trees sqwauked away chattering noisily to each other like a big jostling crowd with nowhere to go.
This island is just so pretty. It is just a sliver of land peeking above the water, jammed with beautiful palms!
On the main land, a hop, skip and jump away- the vegetation is a lot more dense and competitive. Whisps of curling early morning mists cling possessively to the wild forest, trying to hold them back but every now and then a very very tall tree with a long naked trunk and a large canopy stands out above the rest-truimphantly kissing the sun and breathing the crisp morning air-leaving the rats and the mice behind in a world of their own-directionless, jostling shoulders with the Joneses and so focussed on each other that they forget to look up at the open sky and the potential for freedom, growth and uniqueness and joy!
There is no sign of human life this early despite the inviting white little beaches that frame the island and the still cool lapping waters. These villagers know that there is a time to work and a time to sleep:)
Never has the sky looked so interesting as on this Adventure. God is a wonderful artist as he shares his talent each morning and evening with all of us who take the time to look and appreciate it:)
