We woke up when it was still dark...and Brent,Cade and I got the boat ready to leave our anchorage.
We anchored in such a pretty bay with green and blue waters...
Look at the beautiful blue of the water where we anchored for two nights at Sabang:) |
Filling our bellies with KFC in Malaysia before heading off to Indonesia for some good old home cooking for a while:) |
Yesterday when we arrived here, we came through a narrow gap between two islands. The current was really strong and made the sea around us look quite ominous...To make it even more scary, Brent noted that the Plotter indicated that there was an old minefield smack bang under us! NICE... ANYWAY- i did do some snorkelling in these heavenly cool waters and I had a few timeless moments with shoals of electric blue fish:)Jackie and I got to have a close-up gawk at a huge lionfish as it hypnotised its prey with a fine display of spectacular quills...
The great thing about this Indo trip is that our friends on Barbara Ann thoroughly enjoy exploring the land:) Last year, I was so petrified to take the children ashore in Indo as I had heard about all the diseases that one could get, and so we just surfed and stayed on the boat or explored the deserted islands. In fact, last year I thought Indonesia was totally wild and mostly uninhabited:)
local children having fun always laughing and happy:)
So it was not long before Jack was exploring the land and he found a little restaurant on this small island that we had anchored next to.So we were all keen to eat something off the boats and we all quickly went ashore and settled our bottoms into plastic chairs and chose the only food on the menu at this basic restaurant-fried rice! Well let us just say- the view was very nice-palm trees and aqua water:) It was very mellow...
