I can hardly remember yesterday that is how long each day is on the open seas.
I do remember the absolutely beautiful sunset- again:) There was very little wind ( much to Brents disappointment as he is always rearing to do some real sailing instead of motoring:) ) I had a quick shower in the late afternoon and put on one of the little dresses I bought in Langkowi with our grocery money:) It is amazing how many items you can buy on sale in the supermarket when you are a little short on cash:)
I tooks lots of photos trying to capture the sunset as it set liquid gold and molten silver on the glassy smooth water to the right of Micah. And then to the left the sky clung mystically over the shadows and shapes of Japanese style landmasses and strange towering columns of clouds hung threateningly around us. What frightened Brent more though was the deep purple of the sky around the clouds... The purple sky looked like a giant bruise with a temper behind it, and we nervously waited for unfamiliar territory to surprise us and wake us up to Reality...

The wind did pick up but Louies once again wonderful homely dinner of creamy cauliflower, loads of delicious gravy, smash (which we bought tons of from a South African couple who live on their yacht Katrina in Langkowi marina:) ) and Bangers-lulled us into our comfort zones and we all found our little sleeping spots and soon we were all snoring (except those on night watch)

Barrels at Rockstars Nias-Brent! |
The night was very bumpy but most of us were oblivious to it as we trusted Louie to keep us safe.
Brent was smiling as we were sailing with both the genoa and the main sail up. This meant that the motors were off ( a purring sound that i had become accustomed to actually and found rather comforting:) ) Our speed over ground is 5.1 knts but feels faster.
It appears that we are all adjusting to the rocking of the boat:) Everyone is keeping the colour o n their cheeks, unlike our first sail from Puket where we arrived to Langkowi. Today Caden asked me several times for food- a very good sign:) I used 16 of our precious eggs (a luxury on board , together with the few slabs of TOPDECK that i packed in SA for just such moments:) ) I made fluffy scrambled eggs and finally gained the respect of the crew and skipper whose cooking has outshone mine:) They all sat hungrily around me, salivating and making me nervous that since our arrival- I may be starving them... Time to take more sunset pics and to put a little jersey on...there is a chilly breeze blowing...
