Endless ocean...

I let all the lines out again. This time I did not tighten the drag properly only to discover that all the line on the reel was nearly gone! Brent reeled it in and - wala! There was a tuna on the end! Right now, Caden is learning how to gut it:)

The island of Asu in Nias. Mammas Silvis Island:)  Paradise!

Caden has really been sponging up this experience. Yesterday he learnt how to tie a knot and how to tidy the lines up. He loves learning knew things! We are all (hopefully) going to come out of this experience having gained as much knowledge and experience as we want. This is proving to be an enriching experience for Cade. So far, Cody has not shown much interest in cleaning or sailing. mmm perhaps he will be more of a delegator. His comforts are KFC at Langkowi and the wii and dvds. Those are the comforts that are keeping Cody the happiest. Otherwise, he is here but his heart is not embedded yet in this adventure.Cally on the other hand has blossomed in looks as the weeks slide by. Her skin has gone golden brown and her hair wild and free. Unlike her mother though:), she has not shown even the slightest interest in fishing! I love fishing! I spend plenty of time quietly watching the tip of the rods to see if they are behaving erratically and my instincts have paid off a few times:)

Yesterday, we sailed for the whole day across open oceans. We saw land quite close a dawn but then we moved  away and the contours of the land pulled away from us- we were alone with only water around us...
